Welcome, Charlotte Aileen

I'm a Mama again... a God Mama that is! Charlotte Aileen was Baptised Saturday at the Saint Patrick's Shrine Church in Carlisle. After Father Dwight (named after Dwight Schrute... I mean D. Eisenhower) was done with her she smelled great, and it was time for cake!

Grandpa stood in for Uncle Papa at the church, since Papa was stuck in Louisiana for work. Grandpa did a great job, but Alexander had a hard time leaving Mama alone with Baby Charlotte at the front of the church... so he came to stand up for the little girl & promised to raise the little lady right too!

It was hard getting a shot of the whole family; we have a few too many kiddos to wrangle these days!
After church we all headed back to Aunt Jenn's for some lunch, finger painting & some water aerobics.

Luckily, the day was perfect; but it didn't start out that way. Ethan woke up, hit his head & spewed all over the bathroom. When it was time to head to church, Ethan was hungry & didn't want to miss his youngest sister's special day. What a trooper!

Right before we sat down for our second dinner, Ernie & Pam showed up! Although we're not related by blood, after living through Mama & Aunt Jenn's teenage years, they've paid their family dues!
After the kiddo's nightly ice cream cones, they hit the showers with grandma. In another few months Charlotte will be ready for her first ice cream cone & family bath!
Unfortunately, Alexander & Mama are headed home tomorrow. Well, we're pretty excited to see Papa again, but Mama's gonna miss Aunt Jenn's bathtime skill & Grandma's vegetarian cooking. I guess we'll just have to move closer some day!
