Woodsdale United: A boy & his (Mama's) Cause

This is what the boy(s) did today. It was hot, but the neighbors were so, so nice. Seriously, too bad everyone hides inside their houses (or behind their over-grown bushes). Potentially, we could have a lot more friends!

On the Road Again: Louisiana State Capital (& Wild Creature) Complex

May 9. It's not like we haven't spent enough time at the Louisiana State Capital. Everyone, except William, had been there... multiple times. And, somewhat shockingly, it was still just as cool. Alexander said it looked like "Mama's favorite movie." Any guesses what that might be? I guessed Cops, but Alexander corrected me, it looked more like Judge Judy, my favorite.

After going to the top of Huey P. Long's Capital, we still had some time to kill, so we went on a fire ant hunt around the grounds. We found some, and luckily, the boy didn't manage to step on any... this time.

And then to the lake to find a nutra rat for the boy to love...

On the Road Again: Hotel Pool

May 9. Because we had so many people we wanted to see, a sleepless baby and a Babushka, we decided to stay at the Residence Inn Baton Rouge. It was awesome. Fabulous, friendly staff. Delicious, stuff-yourself-silly & take some for lunch breakfast. Awesome two-room suite (yeah for privacy & a quiet space for Alexander & Babushka to share). And, best of all, in A's opinion, a lukewarm, sunny and ever-so-splashy swimming pool.
