The Crazy before the Belly Ache

Most likely, this will be a post that only a Grandmother can love; the pictures are blurry & the videos many.

Unlike last month's visit with Aunt Jenn, this time went anything but smooth. As soon as the krewe arrived, Aunt Jenn was faced with the decision to stay. Alexander was sick with a v.e.r.y contagious virus. Luckily, the kidddos stayed, because within a few hours of Alexander's diagnosis, the girls were also showing symptoms; they were all sick. Uck.

But the fever broke; and the doctor said 24 hours without a fever, and we were good to go.

So, we went. To Pittsburgh. Mama got a family membership to the Carnegie Science Center & included A.J, so we all got in for free.

The kids were in heaven!

The place was packed, and we ran quickly through the music, sea world & the Robot World...

And we finally landed in the water world for the afternoon. Splash.

Unfortunately, the boy really enjoyed the taste of Papa's chlorinated water, so it Mama had to watch him like a hawk!

Papa was working in Pittsburgh, and showed up for just a minute of fun before he had to head back to work. Boo :(.

After a few hours playing in the water world, Charlotte was starting to melt, so we hurriedly took the big kiddos over to the Sports Center for a little jumpity-jumpity. Good times.

Well, at least the big kids had a good time. Norah & Alexander were a bit frustrated by the lack of age appropriate activities, and stuffed themselves with veggie straws & granola bars instead...

Charlotte even took a nap while Ethan scaled the rock wall.

And then the crap hit the fan. Norah & Sarah passed out in the car; Charlotte cried the last 2o minutes of the trip; and Ethan had just about enough of his sisters for the last ten minutes of the car ride. And when we finally got home and unloaded the kiddos, Norah started stumbling around saying her belly hurt. Car sickness runs in the family, so we assumed. Then she passed out during dinner. When she woke up, she had a 103.4 temperature.

Is it the virus, or did she pick something up at the science center? Seriously, could this visit get any more difficult?

Probably not.
