Play time

Cheek Bubbles

I blame Jenny Brown. I'm not sure the details, but JB taught him "cheek bubbles," Alexander taught himself "spit bubbles." Or maybe I should blame myself, and my buckets of slobber... Nah, I blame Jenny Brown!

The boy's latest display of bubbles was a special encore performance for the pediatrician @ his 2 1/2 year checkup. 38 pounds & 38 inches. If he keeps growing at this rate he'll be 6'2" by the time he turns 18.

Alexander & Baby

The neighborhood went back to school this week; and what better way to celebrate than teach the kid to spell his own name. This might take a little time....

The Catskill Mountain Railroad

And our last side trip from our Road Trip with Babushka... The Catskill Mountain Railroad. You wouldn't think such a fabulous adventure would be so hard to track down, but it was. The railroad volunteers forgot to put a GPS friendly address on their brochure.

But once we arrived, the boys had a whistle of a good time (so did Mama).

The most important thing Alexander had to tell Grandpa Smith about our trip? "A tree fell on the track! And the train squished my coin!" Both true. Both didn't seem to have an affect on the kid at the time, but I guess he must have had a pretty exciting dream about it on the ride home...
