Summer with Saveliy: Making Amber Soap at the Ohio County Library

Because busy is better, we headed to the library for the Dig into Reading: Amber program. The boys listened to a story, made some pseudo-Amber soap, and did some coloring. And to keep the busy going, we headed to the Centre Market Science Center after the program to find some real amber and some dino poop. Stinky!

Summer with Saveliy: Wheeling Park Sandbox

Very, very soon, these children will be school children with a proper school year and an ever shortening summer. In less than a month Alexander will be starting public preschool with a four-day-a-week schedule. Wha-what?

So, we play. 80% of the ol' Baby Mama Club reconvened at the Wheeling Park Sandbox, children in tow to re-live the good old baby days (next week we'll be a whole 100% and counting. Woot, woot.).

William wore his vintage, Jenny Brown-made, Alexander-wore CCCP sweater to relive the past (with a Handmade Escapade t-shirt under to live in the moment, of course). Holy moly, these children are so very different than they were... last year. And so are us Mamas (& Papas).
