An East Coast Turkey

You know a boy's ready to go to Grandma's house when he has his AND his sister's jacket on...

Ready for what you ask? Turkey of course.

A quick Granny Smith Turkey in Carlisle with the whole fam-damnly.

And then we tracked the bird a few more hours east to Coney Island.

Unfortunately, we didn't take any turkey pictures in Brooklyn, but, I'll tell you what... Whoa & yum. Mmmm.
On Thanksgiving, Papa's Aunt made us a delicious free range, organic bird, which she served on a table full of homemade Moldovan goodness. A second yum!
Then, finally, before work on Friday, Babushka served us an amazing Jamaican Turkey. Spicy and ever-so delicious!
Anyway, Mama gained 5 pounds (literally) and Alexander gained a new addiction to "Tommy" (Thomas the Tank Engine.)

Happy Thanksgiving (Day Parade)

What else should a boy eat in NYC? A bagel with sour cream you say? Why yes, that sounds delicious!

I'm not sure why Alexander has a problem sleeping at home, seeing that he can fall asleep in the middle of a Thanksgiving crowd of 2.5 million strangers.

"HeewOO" (read: Hello)

Apparently, the kid misses you. He tried to call, but the connection wasn't so good. I'm pretty sure he wasn't using Verizon...

Cupcake

Rubber Ducky, you're the one. Rubber Ducky, you're so fun. Rubber Ducky, you're the one for me!

Aunt Jenn made - THE BEST- ducky cupcakes for Kirk & Laura's baby shower. Seriously, they were delicious (and adorable)! Alexander ate 3 while sitting on Papa's shoulders before the shower even started!

Aunt Amy, Connie, Jenn, Grandma & cousin Lindsey did a fabulous job organizing the shower and celebrating the new Leventry bambino! (I have my money on an 8 pound boy!).
After the shower, we took Maia & Zander around Mama's alma mater to look at all the trees & new construction. Ah, the memories.
And then, we headed to Jack-a-roos! Whoa-hoo!
We had so much fun with all the kiddos, Mama forgot to take any pictures before we switched over to our jammies...
Liam. Can I just say, cutie-pie! About 20 seconds after we pulled up unannounced in the driveway, the front door swung open & Liam was there yelling, "AlexZander? Where's AlexZander?" Oh, and the way he say's "AlexZander" and then shortens it to just "Zander" oh my cuteness!
Our little hambone warmed up very quickly to all the mini-geologists. And, I mean, who wouldn't warm up to Fat Daddy when he kept offering up ChipsAhoy, juice & chocolate milk. Alexander kept running back to FD to beg for "Cook? Cook?"

And about an hour into our sleepover, Alexander fell in love with Liam. The little guy would keep zig zagging back to his new blond-haired little friend, grabbing his hand & leading him to the trains/toys/"cooks." So cute!
Our second night sleeping at Jack's went... much smoother. I wouldn't say it was restful, but it was definitely enjoyable. Alexander finally passed out at midnight. Whoa.
And then he woke up, "Liam? Liam, night night?"

There is a house for sale just up the street on Wissinger, I just have to convince D that he wants to live in Johnstown again, and maybe Liam & A can be best friends forever...

Belly Button Blues

Alexander now beeps, when he backs up. Yep, I'm pretty sure it meets some OSHA regulation, but I think the exposed belly button might counter whatever professional progress he is making...

You wear socks on your hands too, right? Very normal. And so is carrying a lens cap in your mouth. Nothing strange...

Italian Stallion

Yeah, he's cute. We know. But, as his Papa points out, he could be just a tad more cuddly. 'Cause, don't you want to pinch & snuggle that?

Today. Just as Alexander & I were suiting up for our Monday morning volunteering, I realized, I had no idea where my house or car keys were. I remember taking them out of my bag Sunday morning after the Steak Fry... but I had a sneaking suspicion that somewhere between my bag & the key hook, Alexander intervened.

I asked. I begged. I pleaded. But, I still spent the the day searching for the keys alone. I tried methodically cleaning the house, putting everything in it's place in hopes of finding the keys. No luck.

Papa came home & we both (with babe in hand) sorted through 2 tall kitchen garbage bags of coffee grinds, banana peels & wet diapers. No luck.

Then, while Papa charred chicken on the grill, he directed the kiddo to point the flashlight under every piece of furniture, refrigerator and piano. We found a binkie squished between the TV cabinet & wall, but no keys.

So, it's time for bed, and only Papa's key's are hanging on the kitchen hook. But don't worry, I still think he's the best Papa & Partner around.

Now, find my keys before I have to take the bus!
