A Picnic on Clearshade Creek: Chickens and Children

And there were chickens. And children. Hence chickens and children. I will admit I was a little bummed that we missed the Wheeling Farmer's Market Saturday morning, and the delicious Pioneer Farms' eggs, but then Aunt Connie showed us her lovely new (to chickens) coop... If I remember correctly, there used to be beagles in the pen years & years ago when I was a small girl. And then Aunt Connie let the chickens, I mean children, help her feed & water the flock AND collect their pinkish-brown eggs. Delightful.

  

 

Extended Family Vacation- Horse Sh*t

As is tradition, we took the kiddos horse-back riding. Because, really, what else would you do on a family vacation? Everyone had a great time at the Circle R Ranch!
