Home of the *FREE*stuff

A free piano? Yep, it is true, Papa finally got his piano, and it didn't cost Mama a penny! Thanks to a stranger named Mary & the Freecycle network, the boy has a new favorite toy this holiday weekend! Alexander LOVES the piano! It is his first stop after coming downstairs after a nap. Unfortunately, it didn't take him long to realize the beautiful music he can make by dancing on the keys... hoy vey!

Papa, Daddy Russ, the Goodneighbors, along with Grandpa Tom & Uncle Tom flexed their muscles to get the noise box moved in the house; and it only cost us a dozen donuts & a gallon of chocolate milk. We are so lucky to have friends that will move a piano for us--Thanks guys! (Thanks also to Mama Jen for directin' the fellas in the fine art of piano moving!)

And if moving a piano isn't enough work for one weekend, Grandma & Grandpa came to visit late Saturday night & brought an entertainment center & desk for Papa to unload. Both pieces were, of course, free, and in fabulous condition. One of Grandma's friends is moving & had a few pieces of furniture left over that she couldn't sell. So, of course, she thought of us. No pictures today, but they are so nice, I'll have to post a picture soon! Thanks generous stranger!

Grandma tried very hard to get the babe to nap at noon with very little success. So, instead, Grandma chased the little naked boy all around the yard. And as if that weren't enough, Grandma weeded our sorely neglected gardens & watered the tomatoes! Then Grandpa got into the action and started weed wacking and fixing door knobs. It is like they come to visit just to get busy!

While alley-walking the baby to sleep, Grandma & Mama stumbled upon an awesome airplane ride on toy & a like-new see-saw. So, we hurried home, put the boy in bed & headed back to pick up the loot in Granny's truck! Great Success!

And while we were outside having a great time, Papa spent his 4th of July in the kitchen, barefoot & happy! Papa made us a 4th Feast that couldn't be beat, complete with salads, veggie dogs & his famous beans. YUM! Thanks Papa, you are the best Papa & Partner ever! I love you!

After a long, nearly napless day, the little boy with worn out! Grandma barely got around the block before he passed out on our evening walk! We are praying the fireworks don't wake him again tonight! Gramps feels pretty certain that the little guy will have the best sleep ever, since Grandpa fixed the closet door & locked all the monsters out! Let's keep our fingers crossed!
