Pittsburgh Zoo x2

Alexander's time with his big sister is running out; and until Daddy's big project is finished, our time with him is extinct... so we decided to celebrate the first fabulous day of spring at the Pittsburgh Zoo (without Papa)! Maia practiced her Paparazzi with the animals, Alexander practiced his Independence and Mama practiced her... skill at pushing an empty stroller...

These two pictures are shortly after we entered the zoo, before the kid abandoned the ship...

Shortly before bedtime on Saturday night, when we realized Papa would be at work all day Sunday, we decided to go to the zoo. And what's the best animal at the zoo? The Elephants, of course. So we got the kid all pumped for some Elephants, which, when mentioned, he practices his water spout, all elephant car-wash-style.

So, it was pretty fabulous on Sunday afternoon when the Mama Elephant opened wide, right in front of the kid, Mama & Maia and pinched an elephant's-foot-sized loaf. Yep, that's right, dung by the pound. Apparently the display made an impact of the kid. When we got home, Daddy asked what Ander saw at the zoo, and the kiddo answered, "Elephant Pooping." Good times.
