And what better way to celebrate a birthday? Why, with Mama Zoya's Blintz, of course. Put a candle in 'em, call 'em pancakes and you've got yourself a birthday party for breakfast...
The birthday boy ate his breakfast on the very special birthday ottomon...it was interesting. Especially after we added Nutella to make it an extra special treat.
And after breakfast, and a quick pajama change, it was time for presents & some more cake. Mmmm, cake.
Alexander was a very lucky birthday boy. Although no one was able to visit for his big day, everyone sent him presents... tons of presents! Thank you!
The cake... the idea was that we'd have cake to celebrate Alexander's birthday when the baby brother came home... the reality, we put the cake in the fridge to thaw it a bit, forgot about it in a sleep-deprived fog, re-froze it, and ate it a week later on the boy's actual birthday. It tasted...better than it looked...
