CUMC Fall Festival

Minutes after I told Alexander we would be spending the evening with his buddy at a Pumpkin Carving Party, I got a "sick call," and we had to come up with Plan B. Luckily, the Halloween season is packed with way more events/parties/activities than one Mama can fit in a day, so after pizza with JB & Stretch, helping Daddy "fix" the "play" Jeep's motor, visiting all the thrift stores in search of blankets for Peanut AND making Babes a matching ghost costume, we finally dressed the little monsters, er ghosts, and headed to the CUMC Fall Festival.

Alexander decorated a pumpkin like Batman, although I thought it looked more like a Ninja Turtle, while the wind blew green acrylic paint all over his neck, hands and WHITE costume. Daddy ate delicious Italian Sausage. Alexander warmed up over some hot chocolate. And then, they scored some serious candy while trick or treating around the building. Serious. And these boys like the chocolate candy (and "pops").

Ohio Valley Martial Arts: Halloween Party

The boy finally embraced his inner Ghost last night at the karate school's (3-hour!) Halloween Party. Granted, he was starting to feel it the night before at Easter Seals, but he really let his cape down with the rambunctious karate crowd.

When we first arrived, and Alexander got his flowy cape situated and his ghost persona fully embraced, he walked up to every child/stranger present and said, "Turn around." The child would say, "I know what you're going to do," but turn around anyway. Then, once they were turned around, Alexander would scream/giggle/cackle, "BOO!" A-stinkin-dorable. I guess I'm pretty satisfied  I gave into his ever changing (and returning) costume idea. And today, I'll make a matching costume for William!
