A Picnic on Clearshade Creek: My Name is Mud

And, as our not-quite-40-year tradition, we headed to Clearshade Creek to check out the beaver damn and splash in the Allegheny Ridge chilled waters. And in true dirt ball style, the kiddos added a new, muddier element to the festivities this year. Mud. And lots of it. Mud sunscreen, mud people, mud monsters, and, of course, a Mud Queen and Mud King. My name is Mud, as they say.

The only low point of the afternoon was that Uncle Johnny got stuck in the mud he calls work and arrived home just before we left to drive back to the Wild & Wonderful. It wasn't quite the same without him egging Ethan on, but it still did make some wonderful memories!
