Just Another Virus

Seriously. Another Virus? The little monkey is on day 7 of the big-gun antibiotics & *BAM* a fever of 102.4.

Back to Dr. Archibold's. We've been there so many times this year, the receptionist knows my voice & the whole crew ows & aws over Alexander by name. Hoy vey.

After a series of chest x-rays & some more blood work, the doc confirmed that Baby Germ is recovering nicely from the pneumonia & that he is now plagued with "another virus." Oh, and he still has an ear infection that won't clear up...

Despite the baby crank, the doctor's visit was awesome! Arch spent way too long with us (Papa tagged along to help us over the ice). Because the babe's been sick since November, she was extra thorough; poking, prodding & re-listening to everything. Anyway, our doctor love has been re-established... and now she'll be moving back to Wheeling Hospital, so every visit should be this fulfilling now! :)

For the brief 24 hour period where it seemed the babes was finally recovering from the bronchitis/pneumonia/double ear infections, he developed a love of grilled cheese sandwiches & MorningStar Chik nuggets. Yum!

He also, as you can tell from his attire, enjoyed the last Steelers game of the season. The black & gold did miserable this season, but at least they won a Super Bowl the month Alexander was born!

Because the little poopsic has been so sick this winter, we decided to postpone his first birthday party until January 23, to give his little immune system some time to recuperate. The Arch basically said that kids get sick, so we might as well play with our cousins... but hopefully this way we won't bring any exotic West Virginia viruses to the big city with us:).

With all the cough talk, did I mention the little poet's new vocabulary? Well, he still doesn't say, or even seem to recognize the word Mama, but he's saying Daddy, Cat, Dog, Guiness (Jenn's dog), Thank You... and that might be it... We're working on teaching him "Love You" now.

WOW - those blue eyes! Sorry you're having lots of baby sickness, but oh, the cuteness!
