62 Days Under the Alexander Administration

It's official, Alexander can roll over. As a matter of fact, he can even roll off the couch. Of course, I'm so quick and nimble, he didn't actually make it to the floor; thank God!

He's also become the master of the cute little GaGa GooGoo Smile. I think he can even say "Hi!"

In other, less adorable, but in some ways just as exciting news, Alexander slept for more than 7 hours last night! He may have slept closer to 9 hours, but I woke him up a few times before I went to bed to feed him; he wasn't too interested. Of course, being the stickler to detail that he is, Alexander insisted on keeping his schedule and was up for the day at 4am. For some reason, I don't feel all that rested this morning?

With the extra sleep, I'm starting to get back into the ol' craftin' spirit. Last weekend, between coos, cries and wet diapers (because he hadn't pooped in 4 days...), I made Alexander 2 more receiving blankets with the cutest discount flannel.

I was even motivated to jazz up his cute little diapers with the left over flannel.

D has also been getting "crafty" this week... he decided to "remodel" the kitchen to make the perfect cubby for our new super-deal fridge; yep, the failing economy has been good to us. Our weekly trips through the Lowes clearance isle finally paid off. We found a $1000 side-by-side Whirlpool fridge on clearance for $698. I asked if they would take $500; and score we finally got a working fridge!

And then I saw a clearance dishwasher... it matched... and now we have one of those too. Yippee!

Jenny Brown & Stretch coined a new phrase last week, "What would E do." I guess my thrifty reputation has gone nationwide; but what girl doesn't love a deal? Check the left sidebar for some of the other deals we got this week.

Oh, and he's so cute. Damn, I watched the roll over video so many times - can't wait to see him in person!

I can't believe he can roll over!! I must not put Owen on his belly enough. He also can't put himself up on his elbows. Wow!

I'm pretty surprised too, because last week when he rolled over was only the 2nd or 3rd time he's been on his belly! And when i shot the video this week, that was the first time he pushed up like that, and only about the 5th time on his belly.

Of course, he does spend quite a bit of time on our sholders/chest trying to get away, spitting up & screaming. Im sure that when his lungs fill up, its like a push up :)

Well, now I don't feel too bad for only doing tummy time a couple times a week.

Dr. Arch said Owen was really good at holding his head up though, and she tested him on that by sitting him straight up, not laying on his belly... hmmm...
