The Best Live Show Ever: Phineas & Ferb

Thank you OV Parent & Audra @ Rediscovering Domesticity for the four free tickets to Alexander's first concert. Does a Disney show count as a concert... either way, it was a great day!

"There's 104 days of summer vacation
And school comes along just to end it
So the annual problem for our generation
Is finding a good way to spend it

Like maybe...
Building a rocket
Or fighting a mummy
Or climbing up the Eiffel Tower

Discovering something that doesn't exist (Hey! )
Or giving a monkey a shower
Surfing tidal waves
Creating nanobots
Or locating Frankenstein's brain (It's over here! )

Finding a dodo bird
Painting a continent
Or driving your sister insane (Phineas! )

As you can see
There's a whole lot of stuff to do
Before school starts this fall (Come on Perry)

So stick with us 'cause Phineas and Ferb
Are gonna do it all
So stick with us 'cause Phineas and Ferb are
Gonna do it all!
(Mom! Phineas and Ferb are making a title sequence! )"

And next week, Alexander starts pre-school. A pretty fitting end to his Summer Vacation!

Print & Lick

(So, I need a little camera. Wearing a baby, balancing the boy (on the pot) & focusing a camera just isn't working out. So I'm using my phone, which takes terrible clicks. Instagram makes me hate the images a little less, but not much. So, you'll just have to deal with it...)

Daddy spent yesterday brewing his first solo batch of beer; so while the brew bubbled in the backyard, Mama busied the boys at the Children's Museum's Riverbank Artist's Workshop, sponsored by the MITCH Collective. We learned how to screen print shirts...and took enough pictures so we could recreate the implements of destruction in the basement!

I'm not so sure that Alexander will embrace his artistic side. This was our third artist's workshop, and his third time finding alternative entertainment while Mama ignored her duty & enjoyed the crafting...

After the workshop, we headed home. Took our pants off and got comfortable in our paper bag masks... a craft a little more the boy's speed, apparently.

And then the ice cream truck drove by... the boy's real calling. Mmmm, yum.

Friendly Week

The boy took a super-duper dirty faceplant in the zoo playground mud last week. He wasn't so happy to have woody dirt on his face... didnt much care about his clothes, but his face was a problem...
