Thursday night Easter Seals had it's annual Trick or Treat. Luckily, it was inside the facility, since right as we were arriving there was a freak, heavy snow/rain/hail storm. Whoa. Happily, Abby also goes to school at ES, so the boys got to make the rounds with three of their favorite ladies (and Belle mothered William, leading him from treat station to treat station and directing him to the craft and cookie decorating areas. She is delux!).
And the icing on the cookie (although there was icing and cookies, I'm talking figuratively here), all of Alexander's school friends were there too! The boy chased his future wife (Bat Girl, ironically) around the lobby, decorated (& licked a plate of icing) with a little boy that Alexander said will be his "adult friend, when I'm married to Lannie," and colored with the class princess. And the best part for Mama? Alexander gave me a tour of his classroom, walked me down the hall to the bathroom, and showed me the secret toy closet.
