Fire on the Mountain

I'm not sure where Alexander learned to pose, but he definitely strikes a pose when you ask him to "look at the camera." And if there is nothing nearby to prop his foot up onto, he will drag something over or reposition the photographer, just so he can look like Captain Morgan...

Notice William, behind Alexander, trying to snap that little stick in half to put on our "olden times fire," like Alexander called it.

Mellon Head

I know we shouldn't get used to it, but I have to admit, I love to watch this boy stuff his face. It's amazing (after months of being unable to manipulate, chew or swallow solid foods) how this boy is constantly begging for food. Good food. Popping cherry tomatoes from the garden like they were candy. Chomping backyard zucchini like it's McDonald's French fries. And my newest favorite, devouring our tiny, vine ripe watermelons (rind, fruit AND seeds) like an playful young puppy with a new chew toy. Adorable!
