Did P-nut Teach You That?

Before Maia moved in, I just naturally blamed all of the kid's new-found bad habits on the cat. This time was no different. The nut likes to drink out of the faucet, so when I found the boy lapping at the water filter, I wasn't too surprised

But then I walked into the kitchen & found someone else to blame... Maia. She was a little startled when I walked in to find her, babe propped up on the counter, mouth to the spigot.

Lucky for our new daughter, it takes more than a little water on the counter to upset this Mama:).

Fire on the Mountain

It's finally happened, the kids have us out-numbered! Luckily, they can appreciate the finer things in life... like crafts, campfires and tag!

The recovering Kindergarten teacher next door came over Saturday afternoon for a little craft time.

Peanut hung back, trying hard to forget the AC/JB craft days...

After craft-time, the whole neighborhood & engineering department came over to meet Maia, show off their kute kids and roast a few wieners.

Alexander L.O.V.E.D having so many little ones to play with! It was like having Aunt Jenn here all over again! And all the Mama's L.O.V.E.D having the neighborhood teens watching over all the very little ones; what a relaxing evening!

After all the other wee-ones were fast asleep, Alexander was still refusing to shut an eye! While everyone else zoned on the fire, Mama, Papa & baby A cuddled on a blanket & watched the stars. Beautiful!

And on the 365th day, we party

Our big First Birthday Party Plans fell went the way of the antibiotics... So we celebrated the little mister's first birthday the way we rang in his birth; Mama, Papa & baby. Luckily, Peanut was willing to stand in for all the nurses & scalpal weilding doctors...

The birthday boy really enjoyed his spice cake & cream cheese frosting. As a matter of fact, he threw his carrots 7 brocoli on the floor, just to make room for such deliciuos sweetness!

But, the ever polite little guy paused to offer the poperatzi a bite.

Seriously, the best year of our lives. Of course, I can't remember much of the first half, but what I can remember CAN NOT BE BEAT!

Peanut Putter

Alexander just LOVES the nut! They both climb under the slide to hide out. Zander shares the Nut's cat food. And now they're playing with the same toys...

Bye, bye

Our poor little Lima Bean is still squirming to kick his ear infection. After a 10-day course of Amoxicillan, Zander was still pulling at his ear & having trouble sleeping, so the Doc gave him an extra strength dose of antibiotics, so hopefully he'll be feeling better soon.

Yesterday, his unending crank was interrupted, briefly, when he spotted the neighbors outside moving their camper around. He watched Sue walk up & down the sidewalk. Then, the super-cute little crank-ball started waving at her through the window! So cute!

Zander has two wave variations, one is like a chicken wing. The second is like he's very deliberately squeezing a stress ball. I'll need to get a video!

The brunt of Zander's attention has been focused on Peanut lately. Poor kitty. Zaney's love has driven him to a prescription of Prozac and a few bald spots. Zander just wants a buddy, you cant blame him... entirely.
