Happy (Belated) Birthday, Daddy!

Babushka & Grandpa arrived in Wheeling the day before Daddy's birthday, and in true Russian style, they brought a feast with them. Daddy's favorite (Mama Zoya) cake. Alexander's favorite breads. Stretch's favorite fish. And Mama's favorite Congac (just kidding).

Mama finally got Daddy a birthday present... so Jenny Brown propped William on top of the video stack to make sure Daddy could never forget such a thoughtful present...

Grandpa

Babushka

Babushka & Grandpa made the trek to Wheeling to meet William for his one-month birthday (yeah, I am just a little bit late posting pictures from their visit....) Babushka was.in.love. She was excited about every single inch of the little guy; and  particularly enjoyed changing his diaper. It sure was nice to have her with us to help with the sleepless mornings & smelly diapers!

A Grandpa Sandwich

The morning after Babushka & Grandpa arrived, Daddy thought it prudent to offer the little man every form of Russian bread that grandpa had delivered. He said it would leave the boy with great memories of his grandparents, give his a good association... seeing that bread is his favorite food... After a little Mama complaining, Daddy agreed to add some peanut butter to the Challah. You know, for protein...
