Walk in the Park
Last week we had 70* weather; this week we have icicles and snow flakes... And a really nice wakl in the woods. Spring is still beautiful, despite the cold.

The Kids Next Door
It was 36* today. Yeah, cold. But yesterday. Yesterday was beautiful. 73*. Beautiful and fabulous. A wonderful day to play outside with the neighbors. (And take a dirty walk with Papa after work!)
Please come back Spring!

Brush Fire
You know it's Spring in Woodsdale, when Daddy starts burning everything in the backyard. Branches, dried up sunflower stocks, leaves and just about anything else he can gather up after long winter (I promise he won't burn you Maia. I Promise!)
Our yard is finally turning green (not-so-much the grass, but most everything else.) The forsythia and lilac bushes are budding. Our scavanged daffodil bulbs and whatever else I dug out (I can't remember what they are...) have turned all of our flower gardens green. The pirated Moldovan Mint has a few green shoots poking thru the dirt. And even the hydrangea is showing signs of life. Mmmm, beautiful!

Happy Birthday Grandpa!
We've been practicing "Happy Birthday Grandpa!" for three days. And this is all we have to show for it... (And seriously, it was no where this bad without a camera!)
Happy Birthday Grandpa!
We LOVE you!

My Future's So Bright, I Have to Wear Shades
Some people take their kid to the Sears for photos, we take ours to Kohls. They have sunglasses, what else do you need?

I'm Delicious, I Promise!
It must be spring fever... Mama agreed to take the boy to a restaurant. Again. And this time we sat outside.
Two times in one week. Sorry Daddy... but it was good, you really missed out!
(Sorry 'bout the layout. But, aren't you happy to see these wonky pictures anyway?)

For whatever reason, Sonic thought it would be a great idea to design their patio, without a fence, with only a busy drive-thru lane separating the children from a very tempting green ditch. With water. It was almost too much for Alexander to bear.

Big Bob (Evans)
Happy Saint Patrick's Day! OK, I admit it, I forgot it was St. Patty's Day... yeah. We didn't wear green, we didn't drink green beer, and we didn't say the traditional, "Erin Go Bra-less." Nope, nothing. But I did remember that Alexander's second term @ the Wheeling Country Day School began today, and luckily, they picked up the "green" slack...
After class we headed to the Big Bob Evans to meet the gang & participate in some more fund raising for Jacob! Yummy, yummy (stressful) fundraising.
The boy didn't do too bad...(this was probably A's only 2nd or 3rd conscious restaurant experience- not including the occasional Sunday brunch @ Panera). I filled him with Chocolate milk; that kept him occupied for a minute...
And I got him smiley fries, which didn't entertain him at all, since he refused to try them. Darn full-milk belly!
And then Mama pulled out the big guns; video games on the iphone. Bingo. Mama got to finish her lunch, and chat a bit with the other Mamas. Success.
Then Brielle passed out with a mouth-full of grilled cheese, and Alexander demanded to "geet down." And we were all done with our fundraising for the day...
