Bath Time
So, we counted last Sunday morning. Alexander has 104 words. Well, I should say, he has 104 words in about 4 minutes.
At first we were just counting the words that he said immediately, but the four minutes quickly turned into, "earlier this morning he said," and "yesterday he said." So, in four minutes last Sunday morning, we counted *all* the words we know Alexander can say.
And the cutest thing he said this week? Well, that would have to be, "Mama, Beautiful." No, he wasn't talking about me in my babushka & oversized sweatpants. The kiddo had noticed the new (1999-Grandma made) dragon-fly quilt that Mama had thrown over the family bed. And he said it was beautiful. What two-year-old says that?

Everyday a Birthday!
As I mentioned before, Alexander misses his Grandma... "I love you Grandma!"
And then we had cake (of course). Since we had to cancel Ander's second brithday party proper at the beginning of the month, Grandpa brought the kid a scrumptious Hunny cake and the best cake topper sparkler ever!
And before you ask, no, we did not rename the boy Natali, that's just the bakery that made this delicious cake. Yum.
And what's a baby's birthday cake without finger-picking? That's right everything tastes better when licked off a dirty toddler finger...

Stretch-a-polt
This video is NOT recommended for the faint of heart. I know I flipped the first time I saw it...
Chin, chin; Cheers; ваше здоровье; And Happy Birthday Daddy!
Daddy turned the big Three-One yesterday! Can you believe it? Thirtyone. Thirtyone years old.
So, we celebrated. Дедушка & Stretch came to Wild & Wonderful WV to toast Papa's birthday. And toast, and toast, and toast...

Grandpa, More?
Grandpa's coming. "Grandma?" No, Grandpa. "Grandma?"
Alexander LOVES his Grandpa, but without Grandma? No, it just isn't the same. We need them both...
Luckily, Grandma sent a trunkload of presents to make up for her absence.

Including a HUGE Thomas balloon; Wow!

Splish, Splash He's a Takin' a Bath
So, Alexander's been upgraded. We no longer play with Rubber Duckies in the tub, the boy has a floating train set (thank you Jackie!).
And with a little extra Vitamin E in the bathwater, and some Cetaphil painted on when the kid jumps out, wintertime bath aren't too detrimental... and every so fun!

Wee TwoChildren's Museum
Four weeks ago, Alexander started classes @ the Wheeling Country Day School... it didn't start so well. Ander can't sit still so great, and he isn't too intersted in doing what you tell him. But, he got used to it.
Actually, Mama was shocked at how well the kid adjusted to sitting still & following direction. I guess there is still hope...
And then, we had a field trip to The Children's Museum. No rules, no regulation. All is lost...
Except for a new Turtle friendship....

Here we go Burghday, here we go!
OK, it's a little late, but Alexander finally got a proper birthday cake last weekend (during the Steelers half time show, of course).
Unfortunately, Papa was stuck in Wild & Wonderful West Virginia and missed the cake, ice cream & Sarah's show...
It's difficult to see the progress we made prepping Jenn's house for "the market," but believe me, it looks good!
My house, on the otherhand, regressed!
